Clogged radiator cores, thermostat failures and weeping water pump seals head the RunX cooling complaint list, especially on 1ZZ-FE 160i cars that run slightly warmer under SA summer traffic. The toyota runx cooling stock covers OE-spec used radiators for all three variants, water pumps tested for shaft play and seal integrity, thermostat housings with gaskets, and full radiator hose kits. The 2ZZ-GE 180i RSi runs a slightly larger-capacity radiator and an uprated electric fan, which are stocked separately when RSi donors arrive.

Used RunX radiators land at R520-R1,100 depending on fin condition and whether the plastic end tanks show cracking. Water pumps run R260-R620 tested. Expansion tanks, fan shrouds, complete electric cooling fans with motors, upper and lower radiator hoses, heater cores and bleed screws are all listed individually. For high-mileage 1ZZ-FE cooling refreshes, both depots recommend replacing the thermostat alongside the water pump because the two fail within overlapping service windows. Pressure-testing any used radiator at 1.2 bar for 15 minutes is offered on request before dispatch.
