Condor exhaust systems are blissfully uncomplicated — cast-iron manifold, single-pipe down-pipe, one muffler, tailpipe, done. No catalytic converter on the early 2Y and 3Y variants (pre-2001 regulations), a small two-way cat on later 4Y petrol units, and no DPF or SCR on any diesel variant. Does the Toyota Condor have a catalytic converter?

Pre-2001 Condors (2Y, 3Y petrol and 2L, 3L diesel) typically have no catalytic converter fitted from the factory. Later 4Y petrol Condors (roughly 2002-2004) have a small two-way cat on the down-pipe. If yours is a late 4Y and the cat has been stolen or failed, aftermarket direct-fit replacements run R1,800-R3,500 from the JHB depot.
