Front calipers typically run R1,500-R3,500 pulled off low-km donors, rebuilt for stuck pistons before shipping. Rotors R600-R1,400 per disc. ABS modules are VIN-matched where possible. My Prado brake pedal goes soft after a long descent. Is the booster or master cylinder likely gone?

Often the booster on the J120 — vacuum diaphragm fatigue. Test by pumping the pedal engine-off; if it stays firm after one or two pumps then drops when you start the engine, the booster is leaking. Used tested boosters from us run R1,800-R3,500. Master cylinder failure is less common and usually shows as pedal sinking while stationary.
