Toyota Land Cruiser Cooling

A Cruiser cooling system has to handle idling at 40 degrees in the Kalahari with a trailer behind it, so used parts must be tested. We stock Toyota Land Cruiser cooling system components across the range — radiators (brass/copper originals on older 70s, alloy on 100/200/300), water pumps, thermostats, viscous cooling fan clutches, electric cooling fans, radiator hoses, expansion tanks, heater cores, oil coolers, and intercoolers for the turbo-diesel variants.

The 1HD-FTE and 1VD-FTV intercoolers are high-wear items — we get them off every turbo-diesel Cruiser we strip. Budget R1,500-R3,500 for a used intercooler, R1,200-R2,500 for a tested radiator. Every radiator is pressure-tested to 1.5 bar before leaving the yard. Coolant hoses are supplied either as OEM moulded items or silicone upgrades from stripped aftermarket-equipped rigs. Temperature sensors and fan clutches are often overlooked culprits in Cruiser overheating — we stock tested units across all model generations.
