Cressida drivetrains are pure RWD: longitudinal engine, floor-mounted gearbox, prop shaft to a live or independent rear diff. This is where the enthusiast and drift market drives most of our stripped-part sales — RWD components are hard to find outside a dedicated Cressida donor.

Manual gearboxes (W-series variants behind the 22R and 7M-GE) typically trade R5,000-R10,000 depending on synchro condition. The A43DL automatic is R6,500-R12,000. Rear differentials sold assembled by ratio — we quote your required ratio or your axle code, because fitting a wrong-ratio diff on a drift build ruins the gearing. Four-pinion LSD units from higher-spec X80s are occasionally available and priced as collector items: R8,500-R15,000 when we have one. Clutch kits for the 22R and 7M-GE come through the JHB depot as aftermarket stock, R2,800-R5,500.
